You are my Sunrise

Sunrise Over the Ocean

I wake and shiver,
standing so near the sea's grasp.
We must become one.

By H. Baddley

This morning I saw the birth of a sunrise like I have never seen before
The orange haze on the clouds giving away what was to come
The tip of this fiery body slowly emerging from beneath the horizon
A powerful event that marked the beginning for some and the end for others

In the midst of all of this my mind kept wandering to you
Damn, one more moment that I wish I could share with you
One more moment that I want you to feel, to have, to live with me
Far too soon it becomes too intense; I close my eyes but I can still see

My heart felt like it was on fire, just like my eyes
I felt all the love I have felt in a lifetime at this single point in time
It was as if I was overdosing on something, overdosing on love
I swallowed, desperately trying to clear my throat

I can see the glow around you, the fiery person that you are
So quietly beautify, but so intense when you want to be
So warm to my heart, so hot to my touch, so life-giving to my soul
You are my sunrise

I Worship Sunrise

Sunrise Love
Look over there!
That beautiful fire
raging across the sky?
That's the heat in my heart
fueling this smile
and these bright eyes
I have found the light
hidden within the darkness
Atlas wouldn't have to trick me
into taking his place
I already feel the world sitting weightless
in the palm of my hand
No longer do I feel small
when I stand beside the ocean
This heart of mine feels as if
it would stretch miles
before it would ever
break
Or maybe it's just the
early effects of first love

"I Worship Sunrise": Four Poems by Gun-Aajav Ayurzana

I worship Sunrise,
Oh, my morning!
And worship Moonrise,
Oh, evening twilight!

Just one in a thousand rays
Is enough for the Light.
Time is measured
By legends of the Light.

Darkness falls to the ground,
Light flies in the sky.
The existence of light in the sky
Is known only in flight.

Through the dark blue evening
A cold wind whistles.
In the cold black sky
Red cranes fly.
